Firm Rates
At McKinney Law Group, we understand the challenges presented by today’s economic climate. Company finances must be stretched to cover much longer periods than first envisioned. The G&A line of quarterly accounting reports must be minimized to ensure most of the company’s capital is directed to bringing a key product to market (i.e., getting revenue through the door as quickly as possible). Corporate expenditures have to be substantially directed away from outside service provider bills. The budget no longer contains a cushion to support attorneys who have lavish overhead expenses.
Intellectual property partners at large law firms oftentimes charge $600/hour to $750/hour. It is common for mid-level associates to bill in the $350/hour to $400/hour range, and the rate for someone with absolutely no experience may be $200/hour to $250/hour. McKinney Law Group rates, in contrast are approximately one-half those of the large firms. Furthermore, we believe clients should have a good understanding of the cost of a project upfront. That is why we prefer to draft a mutually agreed upon budget before we start our work.
